Performances and workshops PAAA has sponsored in part or in full:

2018 - Paris Balloon and Music Festival - community event with approx. 6,000 in attendance
2018 - Paris Loves Fiber Art - Dinner and fashion show featuring Ann Carson and Michelle Watts
2017 - St. Louis Brass - High school workshop plus community performance
2017 - AF band of the West - Students performed with them (800 sold out community performance)
2017 - Big Fish (1,250 students and 4 sold out community performances)
2017 - Hairspray (1200+ students)
2016 - Paris Balloon & Music Festival – community event with approx. 6,000 in attendance
2016 – Sam Houston, The Lion of Texas (January 28, 2016 for grades 4 & 7, 1,000+ students)
2015 – Mary Poppins (1800+ students)
2015 - Paris Art Fair exhibit and student contest with cash prizes (original Eiffel Towers)
2015 – Dinosaur George Exhibit open to all Lamar County schools (2,500+ students)
2014 – Brian Burns Texas Music (grades 4 & 7 1,000+ students county wide)
2014 – Beauty and the Beast (1200+ students)
2012 - Ft. Worth Opera’s Children’s Theater (1,211 students)
2012 – Singing in the Rain (600+ students)
2011 - The Wizard of Oz (1,250 students and 4 sold out community performances)
2010 - Mr. Blue Shoes, The History of the Blues (1,240 students)
2009 - Robert Joe Vandygriff’s “The Cowboy Ain’t Dead Yet” (1,225 students)
2008 - Caliente, a musical performance for high school students
2007 - Ft. Worth Opera’s Children’s Theater (1,240 students)
2006 - Wood and Strings Puppets with hands-on workshop for students (600 students)

COMMUNITY EVENTS for all ages
• Paris Balloon & Music Festival – community event with approx. 6,000 in attendance
• Sam Houston, The Lion of Texas (January 29, 2016 dinner theater)
• Paris Art Fair exhibit and student contest – May 9, 2015 (cash prizes for original Eiffel Towers)
• Dinosaur George Exhibit – Open to the Public, March 2015
• Brian Burns Texas Music – November 15, 2014 concert at That Guy’s Coffee
• US Navy Sea Chanters Chorus – concert March 2014 (approximately 30 hotel rooms)
• Community reception in the memory of Myra Dyer at NXS Gallery, Paris, Texas
• Military bands have been brought to Paris for community performances. The Air Force and Navy Bands have performed free to the public in the past 3-5 years.
• Mary Poppins was performed for the community with 4 sold out shows.
• Beauty and the Beast was performed for the community with 4 sold out shows.
• The Wizard of Oz was performed for the community with 4 sold out shows.
• Singing in the Rain offered 1 student and 4 community performances
• Ft. Worth Symphony – student and community performances
• Austin Ballet performing The Nutcracker – 2 years
• Carnival of Animals performed by Austin Ballet – 2 years
• Art Train – 2 stops in Paris for students and community (NASA & Native American exhibits)

SUB-GRANTS – PAAA issues a maximum of 50% of V&CC funds received annually
All of the sub-grant organizations provide enrichment opportunities for all citizens of Lamar County both young and old.

• North Lamar High School Theater Department – Annually
• Paris High School Theater Department – Annually
• Other groups as requested based on available funds.
• Lamar County Historical Museum – as requested
